The Creative Arts

Inspired by the stunning architecture that surrounds them, our pupils enjoy a wealth of dynamic opportunities in the arts. Visitors to Brighton College never fail to remark on the breathtaking array of pupil artwork on display across the school.

In the beautifully light and spacious Art and Photography School, pupils explore colour, form and texture in imaginative and challenging ways, leading to the creation of exciting and thought-provoking works.

The state-of-the-art School of Design Technology offers the chance to design and create practical and innovative objects, from pieces of furniture to musical instruments.

Pupils achieved the top GSCE results in the country in Art and Photography in 2023

We know how important it is to have the space to express yourself, so we are very lucky to have an abundance of creative spaces for pupils to use.

Inspired by the boundless ingenuity and artistic prowess of Leonardo da Vinci, we run an annual creative competition at Brighton College. This is a beacon of creativity, innovation and collaborative spirit.

From aspiring artists to seasoned creators, participants from all year groups unleash their imagination and channel their inner Leonardo. Winners across several categories receive prizes, with some having their work shown in a Brighton art gallery.
