Brighton College is delighted to have received an unprecedented three accolades in The Sunday Times Parent Power Schools Guide: UK Boarding School of the Year 2025, Top School of the Year for A-levels 2025 and Top Academic School in South East England 2025.
The Sunday Times rankings also place Brighton College as the Top Co-Educational School in the UK.
The College takes great pride in recruiting only the very best teachers, and consistently achieves the best A-level and GCSE results of any co-educational school in the country.
This year, our Year 11 pupils celebrated record GCSE results, with over 1,100 Grade 9s, the most common grade at 51%. 39 pupils secured at least nine Grade 9s, with 22 gaining an incredible 10, 11 or 12 9s. We’re enormously proud of our pupils for all their hard work.
Our oustanding results put us in the top 1% of schools in the UK.
It has been another excellent year. As pupils across the country received their A-level results, we were delighted that Brighton College pupils achieved record-breaking results, with a phenomenal 99.3% A*-B. An incredible 86% of results were A*-A and almost half were A*.
Fittingly for the top co-educational school in the country, we are thrilled with an astonishing 167 A* grades for our boys and 167 A* grades for our girls!
Brighton College supports every pupil to reach the university of their choice. We have dedicated applications experts in all subject areas, led by our two Directors of Global Futures, and including a Head of Medical Applications and a Head of Engineering Applications.
Around one third of our applicants are offered places at Oxford or Cambridge every year, with over 650 offers received annually from Russell Group universities. While Oxbridge remains the top destination overall for our Sixth Formers, we are delighted that our pupils are winning places at almost every one of the global top 30 universities. The US and Canada are ever-more popular destinations for Brightonians, with offers from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, UC Berkley and Toronto among other eminent North American institutions in this year’s application cycle alone.
