Brighton College is delighted to have received an unprecedented three accolades in The Sunday Times Parent Power Schools Guide: UK Boarding School of the Year 2025, Top School of the Year for A-levels 2025 and Top Academic School in South East England 2025.
The Sunday Times rankings also place Brighton College as the Top Co-Educational School in the UK.
We work hard to be a kind and caring community that looks out into our local surroundings in Brighton, as well as beyond to the wider world.
We know the attitudes pupils develop at school will remain with them throughout their lives, and so we foster a culture in which our pupils appreciate their responsibility towards other members of society.
Pupils work with local charities and organisations across Brighton every week, including supporting those who feel isolated, running sessions for local primary school pupils and working on environmental projects.
Our annual Make a Difference Day is held at the beginning of the academic year, where every pupil and teacher heads out into Sussex to make a positive difference, supporting our community in a variety of ways. This includes visits with members of the elderly community, working on local environmental and youth projects, and beach cleans.
Brighton College was quick to react when the war in Ukraine started, reaching out to the community to offer 22 scholarships, plus the support needed by these young refugees arriving into the UK, some of them alone.
Determined to do their bit, pupils threw themselves into organising a host of initiatives, including arranging social events for Ukrainian families to meet up, and organising support, including counselling, play therapy and art therapy for refugee children. Our incredible pupils have also collectively cycled, ran, walked and swam the distance to Kyiv and back, raising thousands of pounds for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
We are continuing to work towards being a fully sustainable school and reducing our overall environmental impact, and our pupils lead the charge in the fight against climate change.
Our carbon reduction plan focusses on reducing our emissions, enhancing recycling, exploring ever more sustainable food and drink practices, and producing a Biodiversity Action Plan.
Our facilities have been designed by award-winning architects to be more than functional; they use space, light and resources to inspire both teachers and pupils.
The best way to experience what life is like at Brighton College is to join us at an Open Morning; you will have the chance to talk to current pupils and teachers about what makes Brighton College such a special place, and they will answer any questions you have about life here.
