Pupils are celebrating today after receiving an astonishing 43 offers from either the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge – the highest number in the College’s history. We are immensely proud of our pupils - a huge congratulations!
A number of fantastic trips, both local and international, complement and enhance our pupils’ learning. The first-hand experience pupils gain on these trips enables them to acquire an invaluable mix of knowledge, skills and understanding across a broad range of subject areas, as well as, ultimately, a wider world perspective.
Here are a few examples of just some of the incredible destinations on offer at the College, with further opportunities to explore a wide range of destinations in the Sixth Form.
Iceland
Our geography pupils visit Iceland to give them a vivid insight into the fascinating world of glaciers, plate tectonics and volcanoes.
Athens
Classics pupils make an annual trip to Athens, with highlights including the Parthenon, the ancient Agora and watching the sunset from the top of the Areopagus.
US Universities Tour
Pupils cross the Atlantic to visit some of the most prestigious and popular universities in America, visiting world-class institutions such as MIT, Yale, NYU and Harvard in a jam-packed six-day excursion.
Battlefields
Every year, we visit World War I Battlefields on the Western Front, Tyne Cot in Belgium – the largest Commonwealth war cemetery in the world – and the Somme Battlefields in France.
Skiing
Each winter, pupils embark on an exhilarating week-long ski trip, combining the thrill of winter sports with the enchanting beauty of the Alps.
Istanbul
The senior robotics team regularly take part in the First Robotics Competition held in beautiful Istanbul. Our engineers and coders are proud to be the only team from the UK to take part
Lower School Team Building
At the start of the year, the Lower School take part in a team-building residential trip to get to know one another and their tutors.
Lyon
The Swing Band and Chapel Choir embarked on a concert tour to Lyon to deliver a number of exciting concerts, and marvel at the sights the city has to offer.
Pre-Season Tours
Hockey, Rugby, Netball and Football teams regularly attend pre-season training camps at European sporting centres of excellence. Most recently our teams have been to Porto and Gibraltar.
Nice
Pupils made their way to the Côte d’Azur for a week of French immersion in the beautiful city of Nice.
Australia
Our pupils have the incredible opportunity to visit Australia as part of an exchange trip, spending the final three weeks of their summer in Perth.
