Trips

Our trip to Cornwall is a highlight for all our Year 8 pupils. They participate in four action-packed days, which include surfing, body boarding, sailing, canoeing, paddle boarding and coasteering. This experience allows them to enhance their water sports abilities and gain confidence in a breathtaking coastal environment. It creates enjoyable and enduring memories that will stay with them for years to come.

During our ski trip, pupils enjoy the wonders of the French Alps, where they learn to ski and enjoy the alpine culture. This trip is a perfect balance of exhilarating skiing adventures and enjoyable apres-ski activities, ensuring our pupils have the best time possible.

Snowdonia, also known as Yr Wyddfa, is a picturesque location in the Welsh countryside that is perfect for hiking, fishing, swimming, and zip lining. Pupils look forward to immersing themselves in these activities, as well as exploring caves and gorges, building a zip line across a ravine, and canoeing. Pupils learn essential skills such as fire building, indulge in marshmallow tasting by the fire, and cool off in the stunning Welsh lakes, providing an unforgettable experience with friends.

Our trip to Normandy offers an unforgettable experience along the breathtaking coastline of northern France. As part of their language trip, Year 7 pupils set sail on the ferry to Normandy, where they embark on a journey to discover the region's rich culture and heritage. The trip highlights include visiting the medieval abbey at Mont Saint-Michel, exploring the local market to shop for French delicacies, and trying their hand at traditional breadmaking. Pupils love immersing themselves in the local culture, and have a fantastic time interacting with the friendly locals, meeting goats on a farm, and learning about the fascinating cheese-making process.

Pupils embark on captivating excursions to various London galleries and museums to enrich their understanding of art, science and history. Visits to iconic institutions such as the Science Museum,  Tate Modern, The Design Museum, The National Gallery, and The British Museum not only complements their learning but also develops an appreciation for the arts.

Our teambuilding excursions cover a wide range of activities, offering pupils a fantastic setting to bond with friends and step out of their comfort zones. Camping trips to Bushcraft and Penshurst Place in the picturesque Kent countryside provide an ideal environment for outdoor experiences. Pupils learn essential camping skills such as barbecuing, making s'mores, building fires and tying knots. As children progress through the school, visits to Dorset foster teamwork and collaboration through orienteering, archery and abseiling exercises.

We take our learning experiences to a variety of natural marvels. Pupils love engaging in immersive, hands-on experiences, from exploring the lush greenery of Stanmer Park and the enchanting beauty of Wilderness Wood to discovering the fascinating marine life at the Sea Life Centre and encountering thrilling wildlife at Drusillas Zoo. This approach brings their learning to life in engaging and unforgettable ways.
