Brighton College is delighted to have received an unprecedented three accolades in The Sunday Times Parent Power Schools Guide: UK Boarding School of the Year 2025, Top School of the Year for A-levels 2025 and Top Academic School in South East England 2025.
The Sunday Times rankings also place Brighton College as the Top Co-Educational School in the UK.
Congratulations to the 1st XI hockey team, who were Plate winners at the St George’s Sixes tournament this week. In a group of seven schools, the girls played some excellent hockey, winning five matches, including a 5-1 victory over Kingston Grammar School.
As expected, the winner of the group was determined by a showdown with Surbiton High, a repeat of last year’s cup final. Surbiton came out strong, going 2-0 up, only for the girls to hit back immediately and draw level, with Biba scoring one of her impressive 18 goals of the day.
It was, however, Surbiton who finished neatly in the final moments of the game to run out 3-2 winners. Despite the disappointment of not being able to defend their trophy, the girls showed their class across the semi-final versus Gordon’s and the final versus Mill Hill to claim the Plate. Milly should be congratulated on being singled out as only one of two players to receive the Player of the Tournament Award.
Overall, it was another fantastic day of hockey for the Pelicans, as we continue to build the reputation of hockey at Brighton College.
