Pupil bending down to hit a shot in the BOWS competition

On a thrilling day of cricket at the idyllic Preston Nomads Cricket Club, history was made as our 1st XI boys claimed their first BOWS festival title for the first time in the history of the tournament.

With four schools competing, victory was assured in fine fashion in the opening two matches, setting up a final that will be forever remembered in the history of Brighton College cricket.

Three runs required for our opponents going into the final over with a mere wicket in hand, the first delivery sent the stumps cartwheeling as those with embroidered pelicans rose in tandem.

Congratulations to all those involved, whilst a special mention goes to our captain, Will, on being named Player of the Tournament.
