Lower Fifth pupils in the Navy standing in front of the HMS Victory on a CCF trip to Portsmouth

On Tuesday, the Lower Fifth CCF Navy cadets journeyed to Portsmouth to visit the Historic Dockyard. They had an enjoyable day visiting HMS Victory, the oldest commissioned warship in the Royal Navy, a boat tour of the dockyard to see the Type 45 destroyers and Rover class patrol vessels, and finished the day onboard HMS Warrior, the first iron-hulled warship.

This was an opportunity to see the learning done in the classroom during our Wednesday sessions in its real-life setting.
