We were delighted to welcome so many of you to Brighton Dome this Tuesday for our annual Dance Show! The Dance School celebrated a vibrant year of dance with pupils from the Pre-Prep, Prep, Lower and Senior Schools performing ballet, modern, contemporary, tap and jazz pieces.
In act one, the Senior Show Team started the show with Rhythm Nation, and The River to the Blue Sea Flows was performed by Senior Ballet Pupils and the Junior Show Team. This was followed by Game X and Rain on Me, with pupils performing high-energy commercial pieces. The act finished with the Senior Boys’ Squad performance of Footloose; it was great to see so many boys involved in the Dance Show!
Act two opened with tap pupils giving a spectacular performance of Hairspray, which was an exciting taste of the dances to come. This was followed by Stay, a duet from our two leaving ballet pupils, and another beautiful performance from our Senior Show Team of California Dreaming, and the contemporary pupils performing Heaven.
The show shifted atmosphere into cutting and electrifying performances from our leavers, the Senior and Advanced Commercial Jazz and Senior Hip Hop groups. Closing the show was our Senior Show Team and Modern pupils in an upbeat and fun Jazz Café, which ended with every modern dance pupil on stage for one final, proud jazz hands!
Congratulations to each and every one of the pupils involved in the production. The sense of enjoyment on stage was effervescent, and a huge thank you to Ms Linkenbagh and her dance team for their hard work in pulling together a truly magical show!
