Defeating Grandmasters and earning mentions in The Guardian, Lower Sixth pupil Henry continues to raise eyebrows among the English Chess Federation.

Alongside his brother, George, who is in the Lower Fifth, Henry competed in the recent Cambridge International Chess Congress and performed superbly well. The congress had five Grandmasters and six International Masters, including Britian’s highest graded Grandmaster and world number 44 at the time, Michael Adams (no relation!). Henry accepted a draw offer from the top seed and gained over 100 rating points, finishing well above expectations as the brothers persistently impress.

Henry is ranked 383rd amongst active players from England – a fantastic achievement that is only going to improve with time.
