The 1st VII netball team finished their season in spectacular fashion this week, defeating The Grammar School at Leeds in the final of the ISNC National Plate competition.
It was an exceptional display of netball from both sides, the first quarter going goal for goal, before a surge of exceptional full court defence resulted in converted turnovers to allow Brighton College to go up by eight at half time.
Fresh legs entering the game in the third quarter meant the lead continued to build, and a final flourish resulted in a 53–37 victory. Medals and the plate were kindly presented by Mr Marshall-Taylor, as we also said farewell to our Upper Sixth netballers.
