It was an absolute pleasure to host the Mzwandile Mali XV at Brighton College. The South African team shined brightly all day, including singing in the Chapel service in our morning assembly, and the way they played rugby on the Home Ground.

The match was an exhibition of open running rugby with some amazing tries, and the support for both teams was also amazing. It was an honour to spend time with the Mzwandile Mali team and a special occasion for everyone involved.

We were delighted that OB Marcus Smith (Le. 2011-17) came along (directly from England Rugby training!) to meet all the boys and present the Man of the Match award, handing a Harlequins shirt to the star player of the afternoon.

The Mzwandile Mali Rugby Team are part of the Township charity, to support locally driven ventures to broaden the horizons of underprivileged young people and motivate them to engage in their communities, to remain in education, to participate in sport and to improve their situation.

We wish the squad and staff all the best for the future, and we will stay in contact.
