Pupils are celebrating today after receiving an astonishing 43 offers from either the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge – the highest number in the College’s history. We are immensely proud of our pupils - a huge congratulations!
They stayed on the southernmost tip of the country, Europa Point, and enjoyed wonderful hospitality and facilities from the many world-class training venues the peninsula possesses. As well as on-court training and exceptional match play against the Gibraltar National Teams (Seniors, U19s and U17s), pupils from Lower Fifth, Upper Fifth and Lower Sixth had a sprint session with Olympian Joslyn Hoyte-Smith, two pool recovery sessions, and time honing their darts and squash skills.
During our down time, the teams enjoyed an eventful trip up ‘the Rock’ to see the famous monkeys, a trip around Gibraltar Town, a quiz night, and even a beach afternoon to enjoy the balmy Alboran Sea.
They even captured the attention of the local media, with an article featuring in the Gibraltar Chronicle, and local TV news cameras filming some of our match!
