June marked our annual Sports Day for Nursery to Year 8. Sports Day is always eagerly awaited, and everyone is full of anticipation and excitement.
Nursery to Year 3 participated in a fun-filled afternoon of sport and celebration. The afternoon began with a carousel of activities, where the pupils demonstrated their skills in throwing, jumping, aiming, and navigating their way through an obstacle course. We then had our long-distance and sprint races, where everyone competed brilliantly and supported their Houses. The finale was the ‘pass the ball’ House event, where all the pupils worked together to get the ball down the line.
Years 4 to 8 were involved in numerous events, and all scores were combined to crown our 2024 Sports Day House Champions. Seeing so many spectators in attendance and supporting their children from the stands was incredibly pleasing. Some fantastic performances were on display, and all pupils should be extremely proud of what they achieved, be it by pushing themselves to try something new or breaking a school record.
