Pupils in Morris dancing outfits and red St George's House shirts on St George's Day in the Quad

On 23 April, the College and Prep School came together to celebrate the feast day of Saint George.

Pupils from Year 3 and Durnford House showcased their talents with some time-honoured English traditions. The Year 3 pupils danced merrily around the maypole as the watching crowd cheered their wonderfully choreographed display.

The Durnford Upper Sixth boys, dressed in their colourful array of braces, ribbons, and waving hankies,
hopped and skipped as the accordion sounds filled the Quad.

The performances will continue next week with the annual Town Crier Competition to mark May Day, a festival of ancient origins celebrating the beginning of Summer.
