U14A Netball Sussex Cup Winners with their medals and trophy

Our U14 netballers lifted the Sussex Cup following a thrilling victory in the final by a 31-24 scoreline.

The girls played superbly well, showing real grit and determination in every quarter to come out on top. Some fantastic defensive work from all, with special mentions to Rada and Kiera for flying interceptions which allowed us to pull away in the points.

Alice led the team to victory by staying calm under pressure in the shooting circle, and was flanked by her two other shooters Carys and Maya who delivered balls straight into the net beautifully. Nelly and Genevieve were a force to be reckoned with in the defensive circle, plucking the ball out of the air and providing enough pressure to rattle the opposition shooters.

Whilst the first half was incredibly tight, the centre court was dominated by a Brighton College team fluid and impressive from all sides of the court. This allowed the girls to pull away in the second half and secure an impressive and comfortable win by the end of the 40 minute match.

A massive congratulations to the girls - a truly excellent way to end their first season of netball at the senior school!
