Thomas at the Symphony Hall performing on the piano

It’s a rare experience at any age to play the Royal Albert Hall organ, but it’s an even more impressive feat to be presented with the opportunity to play the Westminster Abbey and St George’s Chapel organs, too. In a whirlwind year, our exceptional organist, Thomas, has done all three.

It has proved another profitable academic year for the Music department, with our award-winning Chamber Choir showcasing their talents at various Evensong services. Before Christmas, they performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, as a result of winning the Barnardo’s National Choral Competition, with Thomas taking on the role of organist, as well as leading the choirs in the rehearsal on piano.

Most recently, Thomas playey organ at Westminster Abbey for the Chamber Choir’s Evensong service in April, after leading another Evensong service at St George’s Chapel in January.

An exceptional pianist and organist, we are excited to see where Thomas goes next!
