This year’s Lower Sixth production, Two, followed the Landlord and Landlady of a pub in Northern England, a troubled husband and wife, as they manage running a pub of bold characters, while trying to keep their own demons at bay.
The action of the play was interweaved with live music from the cast, in-keeping with the rustic 1990’s themes of the play. These short bursts of music underscoring the deeply important topics gave the audience time to reflect on the events of the scenes, while keeping them immersed in this thoroughly believable pub atmosphere.
Overall, this was an extremely powerful production, and everyone involved should feel an immense sense of pride for being a part of such a successful run of the show.
