At a time when the NHS is struggling under the waves of demand, one English school is doing its bit for its future, with 22 of our pupils heading off to medical school after securing a stunning set of A-level results.

Among those heading off to study Medicine are Cosmo Calesini, a scholar at the school who is heading off to Cambridge. He explains how he developed his passion for the subject: “During the pandemic I became interested in how pathogens spread and how they affect humans. I also watched a lot of House MD, which made me curious about how hospitals really worked. Doctors are vitally important to society, and caring for patients fascinated me, as doctors are the bridge that allows people to understand what is going on in their bodies.”

Likewise, Maya also recieved remarkable results upon opening up her envelope. A highly talented young dancer, Maya has competed in some prestigious competitions during her time at the College, and her contribution to the arts cannot be undermined. But, as results day swings around once again, she is left cavorting at the reality of recieving excellent grades, as she, too, pursues a career in the medical world.
